Stadium Renovation

Construction has begun on a new entrance to the stadium that will include a ticket booth, new fencing, landscaping, and much more.  Work should be completed in time for the 2008 football season.  People can still enter to use the track by using the gate located on East 7th Street.  Below is an artist's conception of the new entrance.

Michelle Chiasson, Academic Assistant Principal at E. D. White Catholic High School, has been accepted into the Coindre Leadership Program, which is a three-year intensive personal formation program designed to assist participants in deepening their understanding of the educational charism of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart. The program prepares its participants to mentor others in the charism to better ensure its continued expression in our schools. During the three-year program, each participant pledges himself/herself to approximately four hours of activity per month during the school year. Each hour-long activity consists of a directed reading focused on a particular topic related to the charism or to mentoring. After a series of readings has been completed, the participant shares his/her reflections and experiences with a mentor chosen especially for him/her by the province. Mrs. Chiasson’s mentor is Brother Francis David. Each participant is also expected to become involved in one extended experience of one week or longer each summer and in other experiences with the Brothers in the province throughout the year.

Mrs. Myra Luft, Principal, is beginning her second year in the program under the guidance of Brother Ray Hebert, and Mr. David Boudreaux, President, is in his final year of the program with Brother Xavier Werneth. Mr. Boudreaux will conclude the program this summer with a fourteen-day study retreat in Rome.
